Day by Day Itinerary
DAY 1: JRO → Arusha (55 km | 1 hr)
Your private driver-guide welcomes you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfers you to Arusha—the cultural heart of Northern Tanzania. Settle into your boutique lodge surrounded by lush gardens and mountain views.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a quiet walk, a glass of wine, or a peaceful evening to reset after your flight.
Accommodation: Villa Maua
DAY 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park (120 km | 2–2.5 hrs)
Begin your safari in Tarangire, a park famous for ancient baobabs and Northern Tanzania’s largest elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the river valley, woodlands, and Silalei Swamp—prime areas for lions, giraffes, and diverse birdlife.
Lunch overlooking the Tarangire River creates a perfect moment to pause together in nature.
Accommodation: Tarangire Simba Lodge
DAY 3: Tarangire → Karatu (95 km | 1.5–2 hrs)
Start with an early morning game drive while the wildlife is most active. Exit the park mid-morning and ascend into the cool highlands of Karatu—known for coffee farms, forests, and rolling green landscapes.
A slower, more relaxed day ideal for couples who appreciate nature and comfort.
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Farm House
DAY 4: Karatu → Ngorongoro Crater Tour → Serengeti (190 km total | ~5 hrs including crater)
Depart early for the Ngorongoro Crater, stopping for a stunning rim viewpoint at 2,300 meters. Descend onto the crater floor and spend the morning surrounded by lions, black rhinos, hippos, flamingos, and endless photographic scenes.
After lunch inside the crater, continue to the legendary Serengeti, arriving in time for a glowing sunset—an unforgettable moment for couples

DAY 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park (120 km game viewing | ~6 hrs)
Wake up to the sound of the wild. Spend the day exploring Seronera Valley—one of the best places in Africa for seeing big cats. Track lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and hyenas while enjoying sweeping views and iconic acacia trees.
Return to camp for lunch before an afternoon game drive.
Accommodation: Tanzania Bush Camp
DAY 6: Serengeti → Karatu (155 km | 3.5–4.5 hrs)
Enjoy a final Serengeti morning game drive before exiting the park. Travel through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Karatu for a calm evening with cooler weather and beautiful scenery.
A great night for a private dinner or a relaxing walk around the lodge garden.
Accommodation: Tloma Lodge
DAY 7: Karatu → Arusha → Zanzibar (160 km | 3.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha through scenic countryside, passing farms, small villages, and mountain landscapes. Transfer to JRO for your onward flight to Zanzibar.
A hot lunch in Arusha and an extension of zanzibar beach can be arranged upon request.
