Tanzania Pride Safaris | 2025 & 2026

Safari Overview

This 7-day Northern Tanzania safari is crafted for adventurous UK couples who want more than a holiday—they want a journey filled with world-class wildlife, evocative landscapes and shared experiences that stay with you long after returning home.

Covering approximately 630 km of scenic travel (14–16 total driving hours), this itinerary takes you from the elephant-lined rivers of Tarangire to the towering Rift Valley walls of Lake Manyara, across the legendary Serengeti plains and finally down into the Ngorongoro Crater—one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural wonders.

Each stay offers warm hospitality, excellent food and peaceful evenings to unwind together after unforgettable days in the bush.

DAY 1: Arrival – Arusha (Approx. 55 km | 1–1.5 hrs)

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your guide will be waiting to greet you and drive you to Arusha, the gateway city to the Northern safari circuit. Surrounded by rolling farmland and distant volcanoes, including Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro, the town offers a calm and welcoming start to your Tanzanian adventure.

Depending on time of arrival, you may enjoy a relaxed walk through the neighbourhood before settling into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Villa Maua

DAY 2: Visit Tarangire National Park (Approx. 120 km | 2.5–3 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your journey into the wilderness with a drive to Tarangire National Park—famous for its ancient baobab forests and the greatest concentration of elephants in Northern Tanzania. Your game drive starts immediately upon entering the reserve, exploring river loops, open plains and wetland areas where lion, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe and countless bird species thrive.

Lunch may be enjoyed as a picnic in the park or at Tarangire Safari Lodge with sweeping views of the river below. After a fulfilling day in the field, proceed to your lodge for a relaxed evening and dinner.

Accommodation: Tarangire Simba Lodge

DAY 3: Visit Lake Manyara National Park (Approx. 70 km | 1.5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, set dramatically beneath the towering escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Though compact in size, the park is rich in wildlife diversity and is home to large elephant families, vibrant troops of baboons and impressive birdlife, including flamingos, pelicans and other water birds.

Following a picnic lunch and afternoon exploration, continue to the highlands of Karatu—where rolling farmlands, cool air and wide horizons set the tone for a comfortable overnight stay.

Accommodation: Ngorongoro Farm House

DAY 4 & 5: Serengeti National Park Approx. 160 km | 4–5 hrs to park gate (plus game viewing en route)

After an early breakfast, depart for the Serengeti and pass through the Ngorongoro region before descending onto the endless grassy plains that define Africa’s largest and most iconic national park. Wildlife viewing begins as soon as you enter—this is classic Big Five territory, rich with lions, elephants, buffalo and elusive leopards.

Over two thrilling days you’ll explore regions including the Seronera Valley, where permanent water draws wildlife year-round. Depending on the season, you may witness sections of the Great Migration, as vast herds of wildebeest and zebra sweep across the plains in one of nature’s grandest spectacles.

Evenings are spent at your tented camp, enjoying the warmth of the fire, storytelling and star-filled African skies.

Accommodation: Tanzania Bush Camp

DAY 6: Ngorongoro Crater (Approx. 140 km | 3–4 hrs)

This morning brings a highlight of the journey as you drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera and one of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife havens. The descent onto the crater floor is a breathtaking moment, with animals spread across the open landscape—lion, hyena, black rhino, zebra, wildebeest and buffalo, all framed by towering volcanic walls.

Enjoy a half- or full-day safari with a picnic lunch before returning to Karatu for a relaxed evening and dinner.

Accommodation: Ngorongoro Farm House

DAY 7: Karatu → Arusha → Departure (Approx. 140 km | 2.5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha, passing local farms, small markets and rural communities along the way. Depending on your schedule, you may stop for souvenirs before continuing to Arusha town or Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.

Your journey through Northern Tanzania ends with shared memories, remarkable landscapes and an unforgettable story to take home together.
