Designed specifically for UK adventure couples, this itinerary blends authentic wildlife encounters, scenic overland travel and intimate moments that allow two people to reconnect, recharge and rediscover each other in nature.
From the foothills of Kilimanjaro to the open plains of the Serengeti, each day has been crafted to deliver active discovery without rushing the experience. Game drives unfold at a relaxed pace, ensuring time to capture unforgettable photographs, observe animals in their natural rhythm, and enjoy peaceful moments together overlooking some of Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes.
With professional guiding, seamless transfers, immersive accommodation and attentive service throughout, this safari offers not only a remarkable wildlife journey but also space for couples to bond, feel present and return home with shared memories that last a lifetime.
DAY 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport → Arusha (55 km | 1–1.5 hrs)
Arrive to a warm welcome from your professional driver-guide and transfer to your lodge in Arusha. The rest of the day is intentionally gentle—time to rest, breathe and settle in together after your long-haul flight, surrounded by lush gardens and the distant silhouette of Mount Meru.
Accommodation: Arusha Kili Villa
DAY 2: DAY 2: Arusha → Coffee Plantation & Arusha City Discovery (Approx. 40–60 km round trip | 1.5–2 hrs driving | 5–6 hrs exploration)
Today eases you gently into the rhythm of Tanzanian life with a day centred around flavour, culture and slow exploration. After breakfast, you head to a family-run coffee plantation on the outskirts of Arusha, where shaded fields and birdsong welcome you into a world that feels centuries untouched. Together, you learn the full journey from bean to cup, roast your own coffee and enjoy tasting fresh brews that feel richer when shared side by side.
A traditional lunch follows, prepared with local ingredients and humble warmth, before your guide leads you on a relaxed discovery of Arusha. From colourful markets to handmade crafts and small galleries, the city reveals itself not as a tourist stop but as a living, breathing community. It’s a chance to meet people, ask questions, and feel your connection to Tanzania deepen, moment by moment.
Return to your lodge in the late afternoon, with the rest of the evening free to unwind, talk, and enjoy the sense that your adventure has truly begun.
Accommodation: Arusha Kili Villa
DAY 3: Arusha → Tarangire National Park (120 km | 2–3 hrs)
Drive into Tarangire, a park made for couples who want immersive wilderness without crowds. A full day of game viewing unfolds among red-gold grasslands, ancient baobabs and the largest elephant gatherings in Northern Tanzania.
Whether watching giraffes moving quietly through the heat or elephants by the river at sunset, Tarangire sets the tone for intimate and unforgettable wildlife moments shared together.
Accommodation: Lemala Mpingo Tented Lodge
DAY 4: Tarangire → Lake Manyara → Ngorongoro Highlands (150 km | 3–4 hrs)
Travel into Lake Manyara, a lush and compact park offering elegant forests, wetlands and Rift Valley cliffs that photograph beautifully in soft daylight. The game drive is unhurried, giving time to take in sightings of elephants, hippos, flamingos, tree-climbing lions and over four hundred species of birds.
In the late afternoon, rise into the highlands towards Ngorongoro—cooler air, sweeping landscapes and romantic lodges perched on the edge of the crater create a peaceful retreat for couples.
Accommodation: Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge
DAY 5: Ngorongoro Crater → Serengeti (210 km | 4.5–5.5 hrs including crater tour)
An early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa. With lions, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, elephants and black rhinos all within a single natural amphitheatre, this day is both thrilling and deeply grounding.
After lunch beside a hippo pool, travel out onto the open Serengeti plains, arriving at your camp as the sky turns gold and pink—a moment many couples remember for life.
Accommodation: Namiri Plains Camp
DAY 6: Full Day Serengeti – Seronera Region (80–150 km | 4–6 hrs game viewing)
Explore the iconic heart of the Serengeti, guided through big-cat territories and open plains where drama unfolds daily. The pace is relaxed—allowing space for silence, conversation, photography and appreciating nature together without rush.
Evenings are perfect for stargazing, storytelling and toasting the day with a drink beside the fire.
Accommodation: Namiri Plains Camp
DAY 7: Serengeti – Kopjes, Plains & River Territories (80–150 km | 4–6 hrs game viewing)
A second day in the Serengeti lets you go deeper, exploring kopje rock formations, sweeping grasslands and wildlife corridors where predators and migratory herds move in constant rhythm.
This day gives couples time to soak in the full scale of the savannah—its silence, power and raw beauty—before returning to camp for a final romantic evening in the wilderness.
Accommodation: Namiri Plains Camp
DAY 8: Sunrise Game Drive → Serengeti Airstrip → Arusha (30 km + 1 hr flight)
Start the day before sunrise, when the Serengeti is its most breathtaking—cool air, low light, predators still active and the sense of a living world awakening around you. After breakfast, transfer to the nearest airstrip for a scenic flight back to Arusha.
Lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge brings your safari full circle before final transfer for your international flight or onward stay.

He knows every detail of what somebody coming from Europe wants to see in Africa. One possibility to reduce long distance travels by car is to make part of the trip by plane, mainly the way back once you have finished the visit to the main parks. Altogether, the price-quality ratio is phantastic. Seif also speaks Spanish very very well and knows the specific names of all animals and birds in Spanish. Very recommended for Spanish tourists. We saw a lion chasing a wildebeest (the full sequence!).Posted on Christine J Unforgettable Safari and Getway After a safari with Sana wild experience I have certainly become a storyteller.
