Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1: Arrival in Arusha (JRO→ Arusha City | 55 km 1. 5 hrs)
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Sana Wild Experience guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha.
After check-in, relax from your international flight while receiving a detailed safari briefing covering your itinerary, wildlife expectations, accommodation, and travel tips.
Accommodation: Tumbili Lodge Arusha
DAY 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park (Arusha→ Tarangire→ Karatu| 225 km )
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire, famous for its giant, majestic baobab trees and large elephant population in northern Tanzania
Spend the day exploring diverse habitats, including river valleys, open grasslands, and acacia woodland, while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, warthogs, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, then continue your afternoon game drive. Late afternoon drive to Kaatu where you will stay in the lodge near Ngorongoro highlands.

DAY 3: Karatu → Serengeti National Park (Karatu →Ngorongoro →Serengeti National Park)
Following breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands before entering the legendary Serengeti National Park.
Your first game drive begins immediately after entering the park as you journey toward Central Serengeti, one of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems.
Watch for lions resting beneath acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes, and countless grazing herbivores.
Arrive at your Tented camp before sunset.

DAY 4: Full Day Serengeti Safari (Game Drive | ~150 km, Full Day)
Enjoy a full day spotting animals in the vast plains of Serengeti National Park.
Your guide will follow wildlife movements while visiting different habitats in search of the Big Five and the incredible predator activity for which the Serengeti is world famous.
Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.
A picnic lunch allows you to spend more time observing wildlife without leaving the park.

DAY 5: Serengeti National Park→ Ngorongoro Crater→ Karatu (Serengeti→ Ngorongoro→ Karatu| 170 km, 5 hrs)
After breakfast, continue your safari and travel toward the Ngorongoro Crater,
descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor— a breathtaking natural amphitheater sheltering over 30,000 animals.
Experience unforgettable wildlife moments, from black rhinos and large buffalo herds to lions patrolling the open grasslands. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for the night stay

DAY 6: Karatu → Arusha → Kilimanjaro Airport (Karatu → Arusha → JRO | 60 km, 2 hrs)
Enjoy your final breakfast in the highlands before your scenic return to Arusha, where your safari concludes with either a hotel drop-off or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
