Start in Arusha beneath the calm presence of Mt. Meru before venturing into Tarangire, a sanctuary of ancient baobabs and vast elephant herds. Travel through the lush escarpments of Manyara and into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, where the Big Five roam across one of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth. Continue your adventure into the Central Serengeti, a region alive with predators, golden plains, and unforgettable sunsets that feel designed for lovers.
Spanning approximately 1,430 km and 44 hours of scenic driving, this honeymoon safari is thoughtfully paced to balance thrilling game drives with peaceful lodge moments — candlelit dinners, quiet verandas, and the magic of the African night sky. Every stay is handpicked for elegance, comfort, and romance. This is more than a safari; it is a celebration of connection, shared wonder, and the beginning of a lifelong journey together.
DAY 1: Arrival – Arusha (JRO Airport → Villa Maua | 55 km, 1 hr)
Our driver will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport with a personalized sign and transfer you to Villa Maua. Arusha sits beneath Mt. Meru with views of distant Kilimanjaro and is a gateway to northern Tanzania’s parks. Settle in, enjoy a peaceful stroll (time permitting), and savour a relaxed evening preparing for your safari.

DAY 2 &3 : Arusha → Tarangire National Park → Maramboi (Villa Maua → Tarangire → Maramboi | ~285 km, ~8.5 hrs)
After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park, known for huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and dramatic game viewing. Enjoy a game drive through the park (we allow ~100 km game-drive distance for a full day), a picnic lunch at Matete or similar site, and late afternoon transfer to Maramboi Tented Lodge for a romantic evening beside Lake Manyara’s plains.

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater → Central Serengeti (Maramboi → Ngorongoro Crater → Chaka Tented Camp | ~255 km, ~8 hrs incl. crater drive)
Depart early from Maramboi and ascend into the Ngorongoro highlands. After reaching the crater rim, you will descend for a full-day game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the highest densities of wildlife anywhere in Africa. Expect sightings of black rhino, lion prides, large tuskers, hyena, buffalo, and abundant plains game.
After your crater experience, continue your journey toward the Serengeti. The landscape opens gradually into sweeping golden plains as you enter the Central Serengeti (Seronera region). Arrive at Chaka Tented Camp for a romantic evening with sunset views and a quiet dinner beneath the stars.

DAY 5 & 6: Full Days in the Central Serengeti — Romance on the Endless Plains (Game Drives | ~150 km per day | ~6 hrs each day) (Game Drives | ~150 km, ~6 hrs)
Spend two magical days exploring the heart of the Central Serengeti, a landscape where golden grasses stretch beyond the horizon and wildlife moves freely across one of Africa’s most breathtaking ecosystems. The Seronera Valley — home to lions, leopards and cheetahs — offers exceptional sightings throughout the year.
With packed lunches prepared by the camp, you will enjoy long, unhurried game drives through riverine forests, sweeping savannahs and iconic granite kopjes. Expect soft sunrise light, big-cat encounters, and private moments in secluded corners of the plains — perfect for capturing memories together.
Each evening, return to Chaka Tented Camp, where lantern-lit pathways, attentive service and the distant sounds of the wild create an intimate honeymoon atmosphere. Fall asleep beneath the stars for two unforgettable nights in this beautifully remote sanctuary.

DAY 7: Serengeti → Karatu — Into the Cool Highlands (Serengeti → Karatu | ~200 km, ~5 hrs including game drive)
Begin your day with a gentle morning game drive as the Serengeti comes alive. This final drive offers a fitting farewell to the plains, with glowing light, grazing herds and lingering predator activity.
Travel onward toward the Ngorongoro highlands, where the scenery transforms into cool forests, terraced farms and rolling green hills. The change in atmosphere brings a refreshing calm after your days of adventure.
Arrive at Kitela Lodge, a romantic highlands retreat surrounded by gardens and coffee plantations. The quiet ambiance, fresh mountain air and sweeping valley views create an ideal setting for honeymoon rest and connection.

DAY 8: Karatu → Kilimanjaro International Airport — Departure (Karatu → JRO | ~160 km, ~3.5 hrs)
After breakfast, depart through the scenic highlands toward Kilimanjaro International Airport. If time allows, enjoy a brief stop in Arusha for local crafts, fresh coffee or final photographs.
At JRO, your driver will assist with check-in as your journey comes to a heartfelt close. Though the safari ends here, the memories — and the spirit of Tanzania — travel with you.
A beach extension to Zanzibar can be arranged seamlessly should you wish to continue your honeymoon beside the Indian Ocean.
