Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, your professional safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden safari gems famous for its giant baobab trees and the largest elephant population in Northern Tanzania.

Enjoy a full-day game drive while exploring diverse habitats that support lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, and numerous bird species.


A packed lunch will be served inside the park in the picnic area before continuing your afternoon wildlife viewing.

Late in the afternoon, drive to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: Ngorongoro Crater Full Day Safari


After breakfast, enjoy scenic features while driving toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Crater

Along the way, admire beautiful landscapes, local Maasai villages, and rolling highlands before descending approximately 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.

The crater is home to over 25,000 animals and offers one of the highest wildlife densities in Africa. During your game drive, look for black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, hippos, flamingos, cheetahs, jackals, and many more species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool, and in the late afternoon ascend the crater and return to your lodge in  Karatu, where you will have dinner and overnight stay,

DAY 3: Mto wa Mbu Cultural Experience – Arusha

Following breakfast, travel to the lively village of Mto wa Mbu for an authentic cultural experience.

You’ll gain insight into the traditions and daily life of the many ethnic communities that make Mto wa Mbu one of Tanzania’s most culturally diverse villages.

You may also enjoy a traditional Tanzanian lunch prepared by local families before returning to Arusha, bringing your unforgettable safari to a close.

Conclude your3-Day Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater Safari by driving back to Arusha. Drop-off at your lodge or transfer to JRO for an international flight back home or domestic flight to Zanzibar.
