Safari Overview
The Photographic safari plan is based on the satisfactions of a good professional photographer and its well recommended to get all that time. This safari is during a time of the year with fewer people in the area, making for more private time with what the theme is all about: the big cats. Typically we rise just before dawn, collecting our breakfast and head out at first light to see what has happened overnight. In Tanzania the incredible Serengeti wildebeest migration is what surprises most people around the world .
The magic of the Ndutu, especially in our private conservancies, is the ability to position our vehicles off-road for the best viewing angles to photograph our subjects. Apart from just selecting the best destination, Sana wild Experience team ensured that you get the best affordable Accommodation throughout the Safari where you will relax well , get nice food and other services.
DAY 1: Arrival Arusha

DAY 2 & 6: Arusha to Ndutu Area-Southern Serengeti
You’ll have an early morning breakfast then we will drive to Ndutu Area and in the afternoon, you will have a picnic Lunch. From December to May, dependent on the rains, the plains of Ndutu are populated by huge herds of wildebeest, zebra and antelope as they settle on the productive grasslands to calve.
As is to be expectable of nature, the predators come in pursuing and feasting on the weak ones. It’s a smorgasbord of wildlife and the natural circle of life. From July to September is a Predators Photographic Season. This is a immense season to really enjoy the resident predators of Ndutu and without a doubt Ndutu area is favorite for professional guides , photographers, scientists and biologists for its high statistics of cats including lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, civet, serval, wild cat, Aardwolf and caracal. The resident predators are defensive and once they have their young they stay at Ndutu in the local swamp areas which stay wet all year round and are an essential fresh water source for the herbivores therefore attracting predators.
The marshes also serve as the ideal place for cheetah and lion to hide their offspring from danger. You can enjoy sightings of all three species of jackal including the rarely seen side-striped jackal and in the late afternoon you may glimpse striped hyena at the lake shore. The wonderful thing about doing a game drive during this dry time of year is that the behaviors of these area are more able to be seen due to the lack of vegetation.
The variety of habitats allows plenty of places to discover and you often find yourself having confidential encounters with predators. The most important in Ndutu area is off road drive, it is the place where you can drive as closely as you wish to follow the animals that is what we call it photographer’s heaven.

Luis M2022-09-05 Lion chasing a wildebeest We spent 6 full days with a dedicated and very well educated guide (Seif) who has a vast experience with photographic safaris (18 years..). He knows every detail of what somebody coming from Europe wants to see in Africa. One possibility to reduce long distance travels by car is to make part of the trip by plane, mainly the way back once you have finished the visit to the main parks. Altogether, the price-quality ratio is phantastic. Seif also speaks Spanish very very well and knows the specific names of all animals and birds in Spanish. Very recommended for Spanish tourists. We saw a lion chasing a wildebeest (the full sequence!). Christine J2021-08-10 Unforgettable Safari and Getway After a safari with Sana wild experience I have certainly become a storyteller.
