Safari Overview

The 7-days safari starts at Tarangire National Park. Tarangire national park is well known for its huge Baobab trees scatted around the savanna and large herds of elephants. You will see these enormous creatures travel in families and you surely will not miss the extraordinary care they take to their young ones.Your camping safari will continue to Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater which are homes of “BIG FIVE”

DAY 1: Tarangire Np-Lake Manyara

Early after breakfast drive to Tarangire national park also known as the BIG TWO PARK, Tarangire National Park has some of the highest inhabitants density of elephants as compared to everyplace in Tanzania, and its scarce vegetation, scattered with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and unique location to visit.

Tarangire trees climbing pythons relaxing in the branches where the fruit of the sausage tree disguises the twitch of a tail. The area also supports a great diversity of wildlife, including giraffe, Buffalo, Lesser kudu, Eland, Oryx, Impala ,wildebeest and Zebra. Lion, leopard and Cheetah are also present, late evening drive to you lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation as arranged.

DAY 2: Visit Serengeti Park

After breakfast pick up from your hotel somewhere in Arusha, then start a drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire national park is well known for the big families of elephants and huge baobab trees. You will see these enormous creatures travel in families… surely you will not miss the extraordinary care they take to their young ones. The elephants tend to travel in packs and in the same paths as they have taken year after year. When they see your vehicle coming closer, they will gather around their young to protect them and lead them on their way. Here you will have the opportunity to simply sit and watch, take the beautiful pictures and make fantastic memories of your trip. Tarangire river is located through the middle of the park providing the big source of water for the animals and great viewing for visitors. Daily large herds of animals and birds gather around this river so you will be sure not to miss anything. It also boasts many Baobab trees, impressive trees that can live for thousands of years. Animals can be found in the rainy seasons, but the concentration of wildlife tends to be better during the dry seasons.at the end of the day drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight around Tarangire national park .

DAY 3: Visit Serengeti Park

Early morning depart from your overnight lodge have a short walking along the lake Natron .In the distance you will see the pink glow from flamingos breeding and feeding on the algae of the alkaline Lake Natron (seasonal and depending on water level). Enjoy the glowing sun as it rises making the pink glow shine more as you get closer to the lake . Then go back for breakfast, After that drive to Serengeti national park via wasso village (Loliondo) You’ll have game drive en-route towards Lobo area once you enter the park (the Northern part of Serengeti).

Serengeti is likely the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. These seemingly unending plains contain, during the months of the migration huge numbers of wildebeest and zebra with estimates of up to 1.8 million. Another interesting feature in Serengeti are the “Kopjes”, massive islands of granite standing in a sea of grass, which provide shelter to a great variety of plants and animals, from the elusive leopard to the tiny dik-dik. In the late Afternoon drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight . Accommodation as arranged.

DAY 4: Serengeti-Ngorongoro

After a relaxing morning at your Serengeti lodge or camp, embark on a thrilling game drive as you make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy the scenic views and diverse wildlife of the Serengeti National Park before ascending to the crater rim. Take a break for lunch at a scenic spot, and then descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, home to over 30,000 protected animals. Spend the afternoon exploring the crater’s unique ecosystem and spotting the Big Five. As the day comes to a close, return to your accommodation in the Ngorongoro area.

DAY 5: Crater Tour/ Lake Manyara

Rise and shine! It is up at daybreak to take on the steep path leading down into the 600 m deep crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah with the occasional acacia tree here and there. The wildlife in the crater is just breath-taking and with a little luck you might see the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. Descend into the crater for game drive till lunch time. (Picnic lunch near the hippo pool) Enjoy colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds .After lunch drive to Serengeti the home of Big Five. Dinner and overnight at your respective luxury camp.

DAY 6: Lake Manyara-Arusha

After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Pass through the beautiful escarpments (landscapes) of Tanzania and the best view of the great rift valley. Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic lake that made Ernest Hemingway exclaim. This offers a compact-game viewing circuit and is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two thirds of the park and at the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley.

Lake Manyara national park is more famous for tree climbing lion. Elephant drinking and wallowing in the refreshing water, Giraffe, Troops of baboon, Zebras and Buffalo’s. Over 400 species of Birds can be found in Manyara and include thousands of pink-hued Flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as Pelicans, Cormorants and Storks. On your game drive you will be able to spot at least 100 species of these birds in a day.,game drive en route enjoy your picnic lunch then drive to Arusha. KARIBU SANA
