Safari Overview

This safari package will take you to Tarangire national park which is a home of African big trees (Baobab) and also home of thousands elephant heard. It will also take you to Ngorongoro crater floor which is among the world famous site.

This trip will also give you two days to experience the endless plain of Serengeti National Park which support seventy percent of wildebeests migration, Serengeti National Park is the home for BIG FIVE.The accommodations selected for this safari, they are affordable and comfortable.

DAY 1: Arrival Arusha

Our driver will arrive at the airport to pick you on your arrival and will be holding a post with your name on it for easy recognition. Then depart from airport whereby you will drive to Arusha town, Arusha town is located on the northern part of Tanzania it’s the town surrounded by many national parks and the best of Tanzania’s attraction which are the highest peak in Africa the MT.KILIMANJARO followed by MT. MERU.

It’s the city where the natives still practice their culture and these are the MAASAI, Arusha is originally their home land. On this day depending on your schedule, you can choose to walk around the city and see the wonders of this place. Our guide will drop you at the lodge booked for overnight.

DAY 2: Visit Tarangire Park

Immediately after checking in we will start to enjoy the beauty and the scenery of Tarangire national park by driving through the Tarangire River loops and the swamps area where we can have a chance of spotting different species of birds and wild animals. During our drive in Tarangire we will pass through the stunning silalei plains, we will stop at Matete picnic site for lunch (or either we can go to Tarangire safari lodge for hot lunch and enjoy the awesome view from the terrace while having a sip and seeing a number of Elephants wallowing in the river). The Tarangire River, after which the park is named, provides the only permanent water for wildlife in the area during dry season. Tarangire National Park second only to Serengeti in the concentration of wildlife like Elephants, Wildebeests, and Zebras.

Tarangire national park is also known as the big two park since its popular with large number of elephants and baobab trees scattered all around the savannahs, it’s the park with exceptional species of animals such as the Greater kudu ,the Fringed –eared Oryx as well as the Ashy starlings and the tree climbing pythons which are seen regularly cross your path, other animals likely to be seen are the predators – particularly lion, leopard and cheetah. Other stunning features of the park are the flood plains and the grassland, mainly comprising of various types of acacia trees, tamarind and the sausage trees which are also well-known attractions of the Tarangire national park. DAY 3: Visit Lake Manyara Park

After breakfast depart on an exciting game en route drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic lake that made Ernest Hemingway exclaim. This offers a compact-game viewing circuit and is one of the most diverse reserves in the country.

Lake Manyara covers two thirds of the park and at the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara national park is more famous for tree climbing lions. Elephant drinking and wallowing in the refreshing water, Giraffe, Troops of baboon, Zebras and Buffalo’s. Over 400 species of Birds can be found in Manyara and include thousands of pink-hued Flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as Pelicans, Cormorants and Storks. On your game drive you will be able to spot at least 100 species of these birds in a day. After your picnic lunch with game en route drive to Karatu town for your dinner and overnight. The colorful town of Karatu which served as a comforting pause from our wildlife safari.

Located alongside the northern safari circuit, Karatu serves as entrance to the Ngorongoro Highlands and is found between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater. Due to its location, many safari goers end up overnighting or stopping here for a quick break earning it the nickname “Safari Joint”. Accommodation as arranged

DAY 4 & 5: Visit Serengeti Park

Morning you’ll depart from Karatu then drive to Serengeti National park with game en route towards Seronera river valley area. You will start your game drive as soon as you come to the Serengeti gate. Serengeti National Park is undeniably the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unique for its natural magnificence and organized value, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The Park can be divided into 3 sections. The popular southern/central part (Seronera Valley), is what the Maasai called the “serengit”, the land of endless plains. Serengeti national park also known as “the endless plains” the home of the ‘BIG FIVES’, it is the only park that you can have the opportunity to see Lions, Leopards, Buffalos, Elephants and Rhinos at the same area. There is a variety of scenery, which includes the plains, lakes, hills and the rock called kopjes.

The kopjes are the mountain rocks where the predators use them as their breeding site and also use them as their observation tower by spotting the lions on these kopjes shows the reality of the lion king movie. On these the main game drive areas in the Serengeti is the Seronera Valley, the Western Corridor, and Lobo or northern Serengeti. The Seronera valley in central Serengeti is covered with permanent surface water that attracts a large concentration of wildlife throughout the year. Common animals that can be seen here are lions, buffaloes, impalas, hippos, waterbucks, elephants, cheetahs and the leopard. From December, when the long rains start, to May, eastern Serengeti plains provide the best opportunities for game viewing as hundreds of thousands of the migratory animals are concentrated in this part attracted by the short pleasant grass. DAY 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Early in the morning after breakfast drive to Ngorongoro crater with lunch boxes. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa.Game drive en-route. Besides the stunning scenery of the main attraction of this area is the variety of flora and fauna originate an extraordinarily compact area all around the year. Ngorongoro is the best place to see the black rhinoceros, wildebeest, zebra,it’s the place where you can find the black-manned lions.

Spectacular scenery in this largest caldera in Africa. Later drive to Karatu town for dinner and overnight. The colorful town of Karatu which served as a comforting pause from our wildlife safari. DAY 7: Karatu to Arusha

Today as we finalize our safari adventure take some time for early breakfast while sharing your adventure stories, before your journey to Arusha town starts on the way enjoy the great views of Tanzania’s landscapes people and towns, you can go for shopping according to your interest.

After you arrive at Arusha/ Kilimanjaro airport you will be connected with your flight. You can have hot lunch in Arusha depends on your flight schedule.
