Day by Day Itinerary
DAY 1: Arrival in Zanzibar – A Warm Island Welcome
Upon arriving at Zanzibar Airport or the harbor, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to Tembo Hotel or a similar boutique property in the heart of Stone Town. With its beachfront setting and rich Swahili charm, it offers the perfect introduction to the island. Spend the rest of your day wandering the historic streets or relaxing by the ocean as you ease into island life.
DAY 2:Spice Farm Discovery & Historic Stone Town Tour
After breakfast, your day begins at 9:30 with a guided visit to a local spice farm. Here, you’ll explore the aromas and flavors that shaped Zanzibar’s history, taste fresh tropical fruits, and experience village life up close.
Lunch will be served at the farm before you continue to Stone Town for an immersive city tour. You will visit iconic sites such as the former Slave Market, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, the Palace Museum, and its famous narrow alleyways lined with stories and craftsmanship. In the late afternoon, you will head to the north coast for your overnight stay at Nungwi Dream.
DAY 3: Safari Blue – A Full-Day Ocean Adventure
At 9:00 am, you depart for the unforgettable Safari Blue experience. Sailing from Fumba on a traditional dhow, you will explore Menai Bay—famous for its turquoise waters and frequent dolphin sightings.
Enjoy snorkeling over vibrant coral reefs, relaxing on the stunning Kwale sandbank, and indulging in a fresh seafood buffet on Kwale Island featuring grilled fish, lobster, calamari, chicken, and coconut rice. Afterwards, swim in a hidden natural lagoon before returning to shore. Overnight at Tembo Hotel.
DAY 4: Prison Island Encounters & Nungwi Turtle Lagoon
Your morning begins at 8:00 am with a visit to Prison Island, home to centuries-old Aldabra giant tortoises. You will also enjoy snorkeling in the clear blue waters surrounding the island.
Afterwards, you will continue to the Nungwi natural lagoon for a chance to swim with rescued sea turtles—an unforgettable blend of adventure and meaningful conservation. Return to Amaan Bungalows for a calm and relaxing evening.
DAY 5: Mnemba Island – Snorkeling in a Marine Paradise
At 8:30 am, you set off by private boat toward the pristine waters of Mnemba Island, renowned for being one of Zanzibar’s best snorkeling destinations. Swim together among colorful fish and coral formations in the warm, clear Indian Ocean.
You will return to your hotel for lunch and enjoy a laid-back afternoon. Overnight at Amaan Bungalows.
DAY 6: Beach Day – Pure Relaxation on Zanzibar’s Coast
Enjoy a free day to unwind at your own pace. Whether you choose to sunbathe, swim, walk along the beach, or simply enjoy cocktails by the shoreline, Nungwi’s tranquil atmosphere offers the perfect environment to relax and reconnect. Overnight at Amaan Bungalows.
DAY 7: Departure – Farewell to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your flight home. You depart with lasting memories of adventure, romance, sunshine, and the beauty of the island.
